Expansion of Hwy

The expansion of the Mexicali-San Felipe highway has been approved and the highway will be increased from two to four lanes within the next two years.  The drive to San Felipe is very scenic with large sand dunes, painted mountains and numerous mirages.

Terrain

San Felipe has exceptionally beautiful white sandy beaches and is surrounded by breathtaking mountain ranges.  From the top of Casa Del Sol you will enjoy priceless 360 degree views of San Felipe.  To the West you will see the magnificent mountain ranges and to the East the pristine ocean.  At night you will be in awe of the city lights and lighthouse to the North and the clear majestic night sky will offer the finest star gazing opportunities.

The beachfront lot of Casa Del Sol is located on the South Beach which features gorgeous sandy white beaches and calm Gulf waters.  The warm water is extraordinarily pleasant for swimming, and snorkeling year round.  Because the water is so clear you can see the tiniest fish and rippled white sand beneath your feet.  When the tide recedes, those who enjoy exploring, have the opportunity to see small creatures and other interesting aspects of the fascinating marine ecosystem.  When the tide returns the water is excellent for activities such as swimming, snorkeling, jet skiing, rowing, boating, and anything else you desire.

The townspeople are very spirited and the businesses and venders welcome those who visit San Felipe.  You will experience something different and meet new people every time you come.  Some of the numerous events that you may have the pleasure of viewing or being a part of are: fishing excursions, Olympic rowing teams practicing along the ocean horizon, the Hobie Cat and Baja races, Christmas parade floats lit with thousands of lights spreading joy throughout the city, off road motorcycle enthusiasts, the annual shrimp fest, and numerous reunions.  San Felipe still has the charm of a small town while growing and offering something new every time we go there.
